# Why are my scattered objects off-center?

This might be due to the object's axes not being centered on the actual geometry.

You can either:

* Change the [Insertion point](/manual/scattered-objects.md#insertion-point) parameter of the object to `Center` or `Bottom center` to obtain the expected result without modifying the group/component.

**OR**

* Modify the axes of the group/component so that they are centered on the object.
